Browser bowels

In my brief stint as a browser engineer I toyed with writing a book on web browser internals, both to formalize my understanding of the state of the art and to share my discovery that browsers live at an interesting intersection between theoretical CS, HCI, OS design, and punk rock.

Dave Hyatt has posted a short description of decisions he made concerning loading pages in Gecko and it has the feel of just such a book.
